Description
Job-hunting platforms are almost indispensable for people with disabilities to access employment opportunities without having to leave their home. However, design flaws on contemporary job-hunting platforms often culminate in usage barriers for these users. To better realize the potential of job-hunting platforms for inclusive employment, we advance the design principle of differentiated inclusion and through interviews with disabled job-seekers, bring forth four primary lessons to bolster the utility of these platforms. By applying these lessons to each stage of the job-hunting process, we prescribe actionable design guidelines for creating an inclusive job-hunting platform for people with disabilities.
