Description
Promoting digital innovation and creating a unique digital competitive advantage for "Specialized, Refined, Differential, and Innovative"(SRDI) enterprises are key to the sustainable development of China’s digital economy. Based on panel data from 2015 to 2021 of listed SRDI enterprises in China, this study examines the impact of digital transformation on digital competitive advantage and explores its underlying mechanisms. The findings reveal that:(1)Digital transformation significantly enhances digital competitive advantage, and this conclusion remains robust after conducting multiple tests for endogeneity and robustness;(2)Digital knowledge base partially mediates the relationship between digital transformation and digital competitive advantage;(3)Structural factors, such as supply chain concentration, negatively moderate the relationship between digital transformation and digital competitive advantage, while environmental factors, like digital technology level, have a positive moderating effect. By introducing the concept of digital competitive advantage, this study enriches digital transformation research and offers insights for SRDI enterprises in building sustainable competitive advantages.
