Description
Card-based, analogue learning formats are promising low-threshold tools for building digital and artificial intelligence (AI) competence in organizations, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that hesitate to move from awareness to hands-on adoption. This research-in-progress presents an ongoing evaluation of an AI-focused card game as a human-centered intervention for organizational learning in resource-constrained contexts. Grounded in design science research, the study will test the game in SME settings using moderated gameplay, questionnaires, and focus groups to examine effects on AI awareness, tool knowledge, problem-solving, and perceived workplace integration possibilities. Once completed, it will provide empirically grounded design knowledge on how analogue, gamified approaches can complement digital competence development and foster AI readiness in SMEs.
