Description
With the popularity of online dating, more and more people suffer from others’ strange or aggressive behavior on dating apps. This paper adopts the model of Affective Events Theory to explain how deviant behavior and its recovery affect the receiver’s emotional, attitudinal, and behavioral responses. Our model covers two events: service failure (deviant behaviors) and service recovery (just recovery). These two events and the policies offered by a service provider determine users' ultimate behavior. An online survey is carried out to test the proposed model. The research findings are useful for dating companies in designing their policies and services.
