Description
Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) is a transforming tool in the digital health landscape, particularly in revolutionizing counseling services. However, there is limited research on whether GenAI has been used effectively. This study applied the theory of effective use (TEU) as a valuable framework to explore this question. At the same time, it focused on user experiences with GenAI and emphasized its layered architecture and application in healthcare. This study applied discourse analysis to analyze how users adapt their interactions with GenAI systems and how these adaptations contribute to effective use in the digital health domain. By analyzing social media data, the study develops a conceptual framework to map user journeys, illustrating the process from initial goal setting to sustained interaction and performance optimization with GenAI-driven counselling services across various user contexts. This research is expected to contextualize TEU in GenAI domain and enrich TEU’s comparison and action parts.
