Description

Aging population and lifestyle-related disorders are increasing the number of people who are vulnerable to various cancers, putting immense pressure on healthcare organizations in developing countries like India. There is, hence, an urgent need to leverage digital technologies such as Digital Twin (DT), which have the potential to implement Precision Cancer Care (PCC) and transform cancer care with personalized, participatory, and predictive treatment of cancer. This research uses the technology-organization-environment (TOE) framework to investigate the factors that influence the adoption of DT for PCC in India. We analyze survey responses from the healthcare ecosystem to identify the significant factors that directly and indirectly influence the adoption intention of DT for PCC. The article reports valuable insights and relevant implications for researchers, medical practitioners, and leaders. Furthermore, on a practical level, the study will assist cancer care organizations, healthcare service providers, and technology partners in strategizing and implementing DT for PCC.
