Description
This study examines how AI-enabled psychological empowerment influences the leadership development of Asian-Australian immigrant professionals, addressing career barriers. While traditional leadership development programs often fail to break this ceiling, AI empowerment may provide a timely alternative by enhancing the impact of these programs on workers' self-compassion, social acceptance, and diversity awareness—crucial factors in overcoming career barriers. Through a nationwide survey of Asian-Australians, it is confirmed that AI-driven empowerment enhances the impact of perceived leadership development opportunities on these positive psychological states. Additionally, this study is the first large-scale investigation into Asian migrant workers' AI usage. Thus, this study offers a scalable approach to workplace inclusion challenges and contributes to research on AI-human collaboration. By demonstrating AI’s role in strengthening leadership development programs for underrepresented professionals, this study sets the foundation for future research on AI’s long-term effects on career mobility and inclusion—not only for Asian immigrants but for all immigrants.
