Abstract
Information Systems (IS) research has proposed three distinct digital strategies aimed at reducing the environmental impact of organization, each addressing a specific dimension of the ongoing environmental degradation: Green IT, Green IS, and digital sustainability. While these strategies have been suggested to offer significant opportunities for mitigating corporate environmental impact, empirical evidence supporting their effectiveness remains limited. To address this research gap, we employ a Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) and draw on survey data collected from 360 respondents active in the manufacturing sector to investigate the impact of these digital strategies on corporate environmental performance. The goal of this study is to enhance the understanding of how the combinations of these three strategies can contribute to improved corporate environmental outcomes as well as clarify the benefits arising from each based on specific corporate characteristics.
