Abstract
This paper explores the intricacies of digital transformation in healthcare, guided by a mid-range theoretical framework based on the Push-Pull-Mooring (PPM) model. Taking a qualitative approach and analysing in-depth interviews with healthcare providers in Pakistan and Australia, this research offers a nuanced examination of the factors influencing the digital transformation journey in these distinct healthcare contexts. The findings underscore the significance of context-specific approaches in propelling change within the multi-faceted realm of healthcare. They also emphasise the instrumental role of mid-range theory in comprehending and addressing the intricate nature of the dynamics of digital transformation within the healthcare sector.
