Startups dream of becoming unicorns, but only a few make it to the top in the e-commerce space. Where should they look for value creation? This article maps the e-commerce space from the value configuration and value creation perspective into a 3x3 matrix. E-commerce firms can locate themselves on this matrix and take appropriate steps for creating value.
