Abstract
Productivity in distributed Information Technology (IT) project teams operating under hybrid work arrangements is affected by challenges related to communication, trust, and coordination. Previous research has primarily focused on individual factors. The purpose of this article is to integrate the factors that influence the productivity of distributed IT teams in hybrid work arrangements. Based on twenty-four semi-structured interviews and content analysis, the following central factors emerged: flexibility, assertive communication, trust, cohesion, active leadership, engagement, continuous training, time management, adaptability, collaboration, and an adequate work environment. These elements were integrated into a framework comprising four categories: Organizational Support, Personal Development, Interpersonal Relations, and Motivational Aspect. This research contributes to a systemic understanding of the factors that influence productivity in distributed IT teams and proposes guidelines for prioritizing productivity-oriented interventions.
