Abstract

The study focuses on the perceptions of users of digital games and is inserted in the context of the use of new information and communication technologies in the digital society. It aimed to verify the extent to which the perception of satisfaction with life and socialization are related to the use of digital games, among the adult population, and; find out what FIFA game users think, in Ultimate Team mode. Using the online focus-group and free software for the analysis of data from discourse, the study presents results that suggest significant relationships between the variables satisfaction with life and socialization. In the context of using digital games, the perception of satisfaction with life revealed itself as a manifestation dependent on social exchanges. It is also clarified that the present work is related to the theme of an ongoing doctoral thesis.
