Abstract

Phishing remains a major cybersecurity threat, yet existing training often fails to drive behavioral change. This study examines employees’ experiences with current cybersecurity training and their attitudes toward AI-based solutions. Drawing on the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) and Protection Motivation Theory (PMT), we design a survey to investigate these factors. Using data from 192 employees, results show that while current training is informative, it lacks engagement and effectiveness. Employees express a strong interest in AI-based training; however, adoption is constrained by privacy concerns and limited organizational support, highlighting key tensions between perceived benefits and risks.
