Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping organizations—but not always as intended. While leaders design strategies and governance frameworks for AI-driven transformation, employees often experiment with generative AI tools, sometimes outside official policies. This creates a tension between organizational intent and actual practice, raising critical questions about governance, ethics, and the future of work.
This track explores machine–human interaction as the core of organizational AI transformation. We invite research on how organizations integrate AI into structures, processes, and cultures—and how employees adopt, adapt, or circumvent these efforts. We are particularly interested in studies that address the gap between policy and practice, including the rise of shadow AI, human–AI collaboration, and the socio-technical dynamics shaping organizational outcomes.
We welcome theoretical, empirical, design-science, and mixed-methods research, as well as real-life teaching cases.
