Abstract
his paper examines the attitudes of Armenian Gen Z towards adopting Green IT, using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as a framework. The research question addressed is: “What is the attitude of the Armenian Generation Z towards the adoption of Green IT in higher education institutions?” Data were collected through 207 questionnaires completed by first-year students at an Armenian university, with additional surveys ongoing at a second university. The study emphasizes the students' environmental awareness and their attitudes towards Green IT solutions. Preliminary findings indicate a growing interest in Green IT, though awareness remains limited, with attitudes being neutral but open to engagement. This research enhances understanding of the influence of Gen Z's environmental concerns on their technological behaviors in a developing region with unique geopolitical challenges.
