Social Computing encompasses research at the intersection of social behavior and computing technologies, and this track welcomes papers that explore this topic from a plurality of research methods and perspectives. In line with this year’s AMCIS conference theme, we particularly encourage submissions that explore social computing innovations leveraging intelligent technologies to shape a better future. As AI-powered algorithms increasingly influence several information technology platforms – ranging from social networking and content filtering to collaborative filtering and reputation management systems – and as these algorithms continue to evolve with ever-growing data, it is vital to examine how Social Computing technologies are being used and how they are transforming the way people work, communicate, and engage with one another.
