Abstract

Blockchain offers transformative potential for logistics through enhanced transparency, security, and operational efficiency. Despite theoretical advancements, empirical insights into blockchain utilization in logistics digital transformation remain limited and inconsistent due to various contextual factors. The present study adopts the Technology-Organization-Environment framework to explore factors influencing blockchain utilization by freight forwarders in Singapore and China. A two-phase mixed-methods approach, comprising expert evaluations and industry surveys, is employed to identify the key drivers and barriers for blockchain utilization strategies and dynamics. The findings aim to provide practical recommendations for enhancing blockchain integration in logistics operations and contribute to the blockchain utilization research within emerging economies.
