Abstract
This study aims to identify the main publications on collective intelligence and work teams through a bibliometric analysis of the literature. Through a systematic literature review, articles published between 2014 and 2024 were selected from the Scopus and Web of Science databases. The review resulted in a bibliographic portfolio of 21 articles aligned with the research topic. Among the main results are the identification of the main authors involved in the discussion of this important topic as well as the main areas of research. This preliminary knowledge will allow further work to shed light on how the main stream of scientific research in the area considers that teams should be structured to benefit from the synergy of a group and leverage a collective intelligence that surpasses that obtained from the mere sum of individual efforts.
