Information systems (IS) Education plays an important role in enabling a more equitable and socially conscious digital future. However, IS educators face several challenges in the current environment, including improving enrollments, preparing students for evolving professional landscapes, and updating curricula to integrate new and emerging technologies such as augmented and virtual reality, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, robotics, blockchain, and the Internet of Things (IoT). These challenges highlight the importance of sharing IS education-related knowledge and practices. In line with the conference theme, “Intelligent Technologies for a Better Future,” intelligent technologies can offer personalized learning experiences, adapt to students’ needs, and provide interactive and engaging educational content, making them crucial for shaping a better future. This can help close educational gaps and improve learning outcomes. Therefore, it is important that leading conferences, such as AMCIS, include a strong IS education track. As the official AIS special interest group on education, SIGED is uniquely positioned to organize an IS education track that aligns with these goals.

Track Chairs:
Asli Akbulut, Grand Valley State University
Craig Van Slyke, Louisiana Tech University
Geoffrey Dick, St. John’s University
