Abstract
The rapid expansion of IoT-enabled agricultural data offers new opportunities for value creation but raises concerns about governance, access, and equitable benefit distribution. This study uses agent-based microeconomic modeling to simulate farmer-platform interactions under different market structures, examining how trust and governance mechanisms shape value creation and sharing. Our model aims to promote profitability, equitable data governance, and broader technology access. Preliminary findings highlight pricing dynamics and trade behaviors that can enhance farmer agency and revenue. This work provides a simulation-based framework for building sustainable and inclusive farm-data markets.
