Abstract
In recent times, data breach has been a serious matter of concern for organizations because it can cause serious damage to organizations’ reputation, financial position, and customers’ confidence. That’s why organizations are striving for solutions which can strengthen organizational strengths to fight against data breaches arising from both internal and external sources. However, despite making significant investments in Information Technology (IT) infrastructure, technical solutions, security experts, and training and awareness programs, cybersecurity incidents are causing organizations to suffer due to unidentified vulnerabilities in the system. So, organizations are focusing more on undertaking proactive security measures which can help them to identify vulnerabilities before the vulnerabilities are exploited by malicious hackers. From this perspective, this study focuses on the relationship between organizations’ security awareness and their decision to join in vulnerability reward programs.
