Abstract

To explain, at least partially, what influences attitude of systems end users regarding protection of informations, the text proposes a model based on the Theory of Reasoned Action and Attitude Change theories. The model includes also different recommendations of security experts. Data collected from 112 information systems end users were used to measure their attitude regarding a security-related behaviour and to analyze the influence of organizational and user related variables. The findings suggest that the proposed model is potentially valuable and highlight the need to slightly modify it before testing.
