Description

Information systems (IS) are constantly being changed with new technology in order to improve work performance and subsequently enable workers to do more with better access to information. The change of new technology in computer networks within organizations not only brings in much welcomed benefits but also introduces new potential for vulnerabilities and misuse of these systems by users. Because of the possible increase in vulnerabilities and threats from network users, modifications to the systems' cyber security may need to be considered whenever an organization changes their information technology (IT). The changes in an organization's cyber security can include new security technology (controls), new security policy changes, and new information assurance training for employees. This study will examine changes in network user behavior related to new IT implementation and the potential increase in an organization's network vulnerability.
