To understand the perceived usefulness of corporate communication technologies, we conducted a survey based on thecoordination theory. Thereby, we found that cooperation and information sharing among employees influence the perceivedusefulness of such technologies. Using survey data from 176 employees from a bank in Singapore, we found that themotivation to cooperate, cultural aspects, as well as the willingness to codify information influence the cooperation andinformation sharing among employees. Moreover, we explain how perceived usefulness can be measured by such acooperation and information sharing. This paper presents a description of the theoretical background, empirical data, and theimplications of our findings.
